100mm head gasket advice

Für die Huskys aus Varese mit den 17 Zoll Schuhen. (Na gut, 16,5" vorne is auch OK :-) )

Beitrag von sm570nut »

Hi guys
away for a while and finally back to using my 570
I need to replace the head gasket on my 570,i have a 100mm bore with a wossner high comp piston, while i was searching to get a gasket i saw this

http://www.offroad-moto.de/enduro-mx-mo ... -te610.php

what would be if any the difference in using this aluminium gasket compared to the a conventional gasket, also is 1.5mm thick?
i previously used the athena 100mm p/no : S410220001004

any advice appreciated,thanks

Hi mate, not sure the aluminum item will seal accordingly. It doesn´t have any sealing lips around the water pipes. But then it´s just a guess. Why don´t you look out for a paper seal?

hi
the last one only lasted 50 miles but i think that was probably my fault as i previously had to take the head off after 5 minutes of running on a new gasket and i reused the gasket, knew you shouldn't but 60quid for five mins made me whince a bit and i took the chance,i didn't know wether the aluminium was more suited for use with the high comp piston,
