sm 570 katastrophalen großen Ende Ausfall

Hallo Jungs, sorry i verwendet übersetzen hoffe, Sie können verstehen, Englisch
thought i'd share with you the results of the big end seizure on my 570 cases are total junk,punched a lump out the cases when it seized then fell in many bits when i took the cases apart

managed to get some more cases and currently rebuilding,now with 100mm wossner piston

stainless valves etc,many thanks to the dino doc's rebuild post,its been a great help,photo's here-

Outch, that looks like it stopped the engine in less than half a sec, mate

Did you find the cause for that?
Just out of interest, you could salvage only the gears and clutch I suppose? The barrel gone as well?
What's the total rebuild cost to get it back on road?
I bought myself for a situation like that a complete recently rebuilt engine.

could be but not by me,previous owner neglect i think

yeah i had to pull the clutch a bit quick,i think lack of maintenance by previous owners,barrel and piston mullered but got the barrel bored and plated,got it back today

saved everything else,was ok,parts alone and cylinder plating etc comes to about £1200 i think,about 2000aud but i stopped counting,

That was meant in both ways. Proper job in totally destroying the motor and proper job in rebuilding
I know what it costs to do that, so I hope you have better luck this time.

lol,me too,needless to say i just bought a temp gauge and an hour meter!
