Anbei Punkte welche uns bewogen haben den Aurora Kit statt den Omega zu kaufen.
Mal abgesehen davon dass man bei Aurora vorbei fahren kann und sie einen super Service bieten jedenfalls bisher
1) Omega uses composite tanks. Although that helps with availability, it does not help on the long run. If I die, you go and buy tanks from KTM. If Thomas dies you are left on your own. Also it means that you go to a local ktm in the states, order the tanks wherever you may be, you know what I mean.
2) Two fuel pumps. This adds a lot to the total cost, yest both prices are comparable. In our case you have two fuel pumps, from the factory rally bike, dedicated fuel piping with billet non return valves and dedicated piping. The piping I use has metallic inner wiring outer sleeving and special heat shield on stalled. The piping Omega moves the fuel pump from the rear to the front, just gravity fed fuel lines. In their case the pump is also stressed too much. Imagine that during the all the 600 km, this one pump does not all the work. In our case exhaust pump is left to cool down while the other does not the work and vice versa.
3) Bracket quality. I have seen the way their tower is mounted to the frame using sheet metal plates. My approach is to design something that will give you piece of mind for the life of the product. All bracket come with lifetime warranty and our bike has run three FIM rallies so far. Omega kits are shown in only in travelling mode.
4)aerodynamics. Weird as it sounds, our screen is posit better than the omega.
5) comfort. We are the only ones on the kit that bring dedicates gel from the states. Heavier send more expensive but will allow you to enjoy the ride.
6)electrics. In omega you need to make extensions for the cables of the Speedocap to put it on their back plate
7)tower. I know carbon is bling, but you know it better than me, that you cannot make good quality carbon by the seat of your pants. Omega is better than perfect fairings, but still its not a part that I would use for maximum reliability and ease of mind.
8)light output. The have both projector lights from Hella, we have a LED as a high beam.
9) projection. Their skid plate uses the OEM from mounting system. Now, if you look at your bike, these mounting points are ok for a small skid that embraces the engine. Keeping in mind that the polymer will also bend so it does not stressed the points that much. Now, replace that with a large skid, strongest and different geometry and it is a different game. There are reports of broken M6 mounts from aluminium skid plates and if you land the bike somewhere, you stress the mounting points too much. Aurora uses both the M6 and the engine mounting point. On top of that we have 4 rubber mounts and to allow things to flex before the force's start to be transferred to the frame mounts.
10) our kit can be transformed into three other options. Lite, super 7 or rally Replica (if you have the Xplorer). Especially for the lite I am preparing something really good that will allow people like you to take their tanks off the bike, put new side shroud and keep the skid plate and exhaust, transforming the bike to a lite setup in 10 minutes. No kit in the market can so this
11)made from people who love to innovate
12) There is obviously a a connection of the rear tanks to the front with a manual valve. If you see the bike from the side, the front filler caps are higher than the rear. Meaning that you leave that valved open while refuelling, and rear overflows. Not a big deal, you close the valve, but for me, this makes nether piece of of mind
As you have seen in your visit, I try to employ solutions to assist the rider both while building the bike and as afterthought. I don't want parts to come back to me because I cannot even handle recalls. So my thinking is that you buy the kit and you are happy with the reliability, go away and only come back to buy either accessories or new products from my line. I am not here to sell spares and I don't like it.
Von daher guten Rutsch ins neue Jahr.
Hab gehört das 2018 phantastisch werden soll
