Hi Cris,

as long as the contents of the original eeprom have been read and saved, a new eeprom can be written and soldered with this backup. But this only works in conjunction with the original ECU!
If there is an old data backup or data recovery, you can no longer switch between the air/cooling water temp displays. etc. can be switched and only ODO errors appear in the display.
The Nuda can then still be started.
This ODO error can be eliminated by Zupin for less than 100 euros.

I don't know anything about the C650, sorry.

Bye Jürgen

..and instead using an EEPROM programmer? I see many on various well-known sales platforms at good prices.

our EEPROM is 25L160 and can be read/written with many other tools like UPA, X-prog, seeprog etc.; could this be a good solution?

Danke

Cris

Hi Cris,

Instructions for reading, describing and using a program are not provided in this forum.
If you don't have any programming knowledge, I can only warn you not to try because this will delete or overwrite the contents of the EEProm. The worst case scenario!
You asked whether the speedometer with water damage can be replaced and this will be successful by resoldering the EEProm and is not for inexperienced people as overheating can cause the conductor tracks to become detached.

Bye Jürgen

No no..! I don't want to get involved in this!
The problem is that I'm trying to figure out the simplest and most invasive solution to finally be able to hug my bike again!

I have now also contacted a BMW who may help me with this programming, if it can still be done, otherwise I will have to intervene in the ways you tell me.

Danke!!!
